Drawing inspiration from the art and poetry of the ancient Persian Empire, and with a background of studies in traditional dances from Iran and Central Asia, Parvaz Dance Ensemble is creating expressive stage productions filled with poetic moments of longing and beauty, catchy rhythms and ecstatic spins.
Parvaz Dance Group, which was founded 2013, consists of four artists who all have a long background as professional dancers.
Their repertoire includes mostly classical persian dance but also folk dance from Iran, contemporary persian dance and uzbek dance.
The group has studied for the most distinguished teachers of Persian and Central Asian dance in the world, like Shahrzad Khorsandi, Miriam Peretz, Helia Bandeh, Banafsheh Sayyad, Shahrokh Moshkin Ghalam, Olimdjon Beknazarov, Schachlo and Sharlyn Sawyer and her dance company Ballet Afsaneh.
Parvaz can be booked for performance and also offers courses in persian dance at Layali Oriental Dance Academy.
